Skylift Web — Website Subscription Agreement
This is what you're getting, what it costs, and how we work together. Read it. If something doesn't make sense, ask.
This agreement is presented during onboarding and acknowledged before any work begins. It is not hidden fine print.
- Buyout figure to confirm: this anchors the buyout at $999 and reduces it by $97 for each month already paid (free after 12 months). The old DFY framework instead computed (12 − months) × the monthly rate, which here would start at $1,164. Confirm which you want.
- TODO (ops, not contract): make the preview-approval process as frictionless as possible — one-click approve, annotate-in-place, etc.
- TODO (onboarding): add an acknowledgement at intake where the client confirms they understand the 7-day timeline and that it depends on their timely approval and feedback.
1. Scope of Work
You are purchasing a website subscription from Skylift Web on one of three plans:
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97/mo | Custom website, hosting, SSL, domain handled, basic on-page SEO, contact form, 1 website edit per month. |
| Growth | $297/mo | Everything in Starter, plus unlimited edits, full local SEO + Google Business Profile, booking/quote form, missed-call text-back, CRM, AI texting agent, live chat, automated review requests, and a monthly leads report. |
| Market Leader | $697/mo | Everything in Growth, plus AI-SEO, ongoing general SEO, reputation management, a monthly 1-on-1 strategy call, and priority turnaround. |
Your website is built for you using our proven frameworks. We start with a free home-page preview — usually by the next business day. Once you approve it, we build out your interior pages.
What's NOT included on any plan:
- Paid ad management (available as a separate add-on once your site is live and converting)
- Social media management (a planned future add-on, not currently offered)
- Content creation beyond the website copy we write during the initial build
- Logo design (you provide your logo, or we can recommend a designer)
2. Edits and Revisions
- Before launch: you first approve a free home-page preview (usually next business day). Once it's approved, we build out your interior pages, then you get one round of revisions — images, copy, and form questions — before we make the site live.
- On Starter ($97/mo): one website edit per month is included after launch.
- On Growth and Market Leader: website edits are unlimited — updating hours, swapping a photo, adding a service, fixing a typo, and similar routine changes.
- Requests beyond routine updates (a new page, a separate landing page, a full redesign of a section) are quoted separately and approved by you before any work begins.
3. Project Timeline
Your site goes live within 7 days of submitting your intake. The clock starts when you submit your intake, not when you pay. Because the timeline depends on you approving the home-page preview and returning your revision notes promptly, you acknowledge this 7-day timeline at intake.
| When | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Day 0 | You pay, complete a short intake, and acknowledge this agreement (including the 7-day timeline) |
| Next business day | You receive a free home-page preview |
| On your approval | We build out your interior pages using our proven frameworks |
| One revision round | You request changes to images, copy, and form questions |
| By day 7 | Your site goes live; review automation activated (Growth and up) |
4. Payment Terms
- Your plan is billed monthly via Stripe on the card on file: Starter $97/mo, Growth $297/mo, or Market Leader $697/mo.
- Your first payment is due at sign-up. Payments recur on the same date each month.
- There is no setup fee. There is no contract. You pay monthly and can cancel anytime (see Section 9).
- You can switch plans (up or down) at any time; the new rate applies on your next billing date.
5. Failed Payments
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries automatically and you'll get an email notice.
- You have 5 business days from a failed payment to update your method.
- After the grace period, the site may be taken offline and maintenance paused until payment is current.
- If payment fails for two consecutive months, Skylift may suspend the site and treat the account as cancelled, after notice.
- No late fees are charged.
6. Ownership
This section matters. Read it carefully.
- You own your content — the text, photos, logos, and business information you provide — at all times.
- You own your domain. If you brought it, it stays yours. If we registered one for you, it transfers to you on request, with any applicable registrar fees paid.
- While your subscription is active, Skylift hosts and maintains the website build. You're paying for a managed website service, not a one-time purchase of the build files.
- Buyout. You can buy out your website and own it outright at any time. The buyout is $999, reduced by $97 for every month you've already paid. After 12 continuous months of subscription, ownership transfers to you at no charge. (Example: buying out after 4 paid months → $999 − 4 × $97 = $611.)
- If you cancel without buying out, your content and domain are yours to keep. The hosted site comes down at the end of your paid month, and we'll hand off a static export of the look-and-feel on request so you can take it elsewhere.
7. Right to Share Work
Skylift may showcase your completed website in its portfolio, social media, website, and case studies, crediting your business unless you ask us not to in writing.
8. Liability and Guarantees
What Skylift is responsible for:
- Building and maintaining your website as described in Section 1
- Keeping your site hosted, online, and secured with SSL while your subscription is active
- Delivering within the timeline in Section 3
What Skylift is NOT responsible for:
- Your business results, revenue, or leads. A great website helps, but results depend on your business, market, and factors outside our control.
- Third-party disruptions (hosting outages, registrar issues, Google algorithm changes, software downtime).
- The accuracy of content, claims, or offers you ask us to publish.
Liability cap: Skylift's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Skylift in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Guarantees: 14-day money-back — if it's not right for you in the first two weeks, email us for a refund. Live in 7 days or your next month is free — if we miss the deadline due to delays on our end (not delayed approval or feedback from you), your next month is on us.
9. Termination
- You can cancel anytime. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle; the site stays live through the period you've paid for.
- After the paid period, the hosted site comes down (unless you buy out per Section 6). We hold your files for 30 days in case you change your mind, then they may be deleted.
- Payment is due for services already delivered; no partial-month refunds (outside the 14-day money-back window).
