Every question, answered.
Everything you need to know about the plans, the build, the process, local SEO, and paid ads. If it's not here, just ask.
Pricing & billing.
What do your plans cost?
Three plans, all monthly: Starter at $97/mo, Growth at $297/mo (most popular), and Market Leader at $697/mo. Every plan is a custom site, live in 7 days, hosted and managed. Growth adds the full lead machine: local SEO, CRM, missed-call text-back, and reviews.
What's not included?
Domain registration (about $15/year) and ad spend. Everything web (design, build, hosting, edits, copywriting) is covered by your plan.
Are there setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fee, no hidden costs. Starter is $97/mo, Growth is $297/mo, and Market Leader is $697/mo. Month to month.
Is there a contract?
No. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime by email.
Can I pay annually instead?
Plans are simple month-to-month with no contract. If you'd rather pay annually, just ask and we'll set it up.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel anytime by email. You keep your copy, photos, and domain. The hosted build comes down at the end of your paid month. Skylift hands off a static export if you want to take the look-and-feel elsewhere.
What if I need a full redesign mid-subscription?
Included. A complete rebuild costs the same plan. Skylift does not charge extra for the same client looking different.
Why a subscription instead of a one-time fee?
Websites that never get updated die within 18 months. The subscription keeps your site fast, current, and ranking, without surprise invoices.
The website build.
How many pages do I get?
Homepage plus up to 5 inner pages: About, Services, Contact, and two more of your choice. Need more? We quote it flat.
Do you write the copy?
Yes. Copywriting is included. We send drafts in week 2, you mark them up, we ship.
Will my site work on mobile?
Every site is mobile-first. We design for phones first, then scale up to desktop. No extra charge.
Will my site look like a template?
No. Every site is custom-designed against a real brief: your customers, your industry, your competitors. No bootstrap themes.
Can I edit the site myself after launch?
Yes. We set up a CMS and train you on it. Or just email us and we handle edits, included in your monthly fee.
What if I already have a site that needs a redesign?
Same plan, same price. We migrate your content, redesign on a staging URL, and flip DNS when you approve.
How is Skylift different from Squarespace or Wix?
You don't build it. You don't update it. You don't troubleshoot it. Skylift handles the parts most small business owners get stuck on.
Do you handle e-commerce or booking systems?
Skylift integrates third-party tools like Calendly, Acuity, Square, and Stripe Checkout. Custom commerce platforms are out of scope. If you need a real store, Skylift will refer you out honestly.
Can you connect my CRM or email tool?
Yes. Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ConvertKit, HubSpot, Calendly: these connect quickly. Custom integrations are quoted separately.
What if my site isn't bringing in business?
We rebuild it on the same plan. A full redesign costs the same plan, so Skylift is motivated to make the first version work.
Process & timeline.
How long does the build take?
Most sites launch in 7 days. We build a free preview first, you approve it, then it goes live.
What do you need from me upfront?
A brief about your business, your top 3 competitors, any existing brand assets (logo, photos, copy), and access to your domain registrar. Skylift sends a checklist after the intake.
What does the build look like?
Day 1: a short intake. Next business day: you see a free home-page preview. Once you approve it, we build out your interior pages and you get one round of revisions. Live within 7 days.
How much of my time will this take?
About an hour total: a short intake, then one round of feedback on your preview. Skylift does the rest.
What if I'm slow with feedback?
Skylift pauses the clock, not the relationship. The build resumes when you're ready. No penalty for life happening.
What happens after launch?
Your subscription starts on launch day. Ongoing edits, hosting, Google review automation, and any future redesigns are all included.
Will you pitch me hard?
No. If Skylift isn't the right fit, you'll hear that straight. Skylift would rather lose the deal than oversell.
What if I'm not ready to commit yet?
That's expected. Most clients take 2-4 weeks from first contact to first invoice. No aggressive follow-up.
Local SEO & reviews.
What does local SEO actually do for my business?
Local SEO puts your business in front of people searching for what you do, in your area. When someone Googles "plumber near me" or "Tampa roofer," local SEO is what decides whether you show up or your competitor does.
Do you manage my Google Business Profile?
Yes. We optimize your GBP from day one: categories, description, photos, posts, Q&A, and keep it updated monthly. You don't have to touch it.
How does the review automation work?
After every job, we send your customer a short email asking for a Google review. No SMS, no apps to install, no compliance headaches. It runs on autopilot.
How long until I see SEO results?
Most clients see measurable movement in local rankings within 60-90 days. Review velocity usually picks up within the first month.
Is local SEO included?
Yes, on the Growth plan ($297/mo) and up. GBP optimization, on-page SEO, review automation, and monthly reporting are all bundled in. No add-ons.
Do I need a website to do local SEO?
A website helps, a lot. GBP links back to your site, and on-page SEO only works if there are pages to optimize. If you don't have a site yet, we build one as part of the same plan.
Paid ads.
What platforms do you run ads on?
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Search and Display). We recommend based on your industry and budget, not on what's easiest for us.
How much should I budget for ad spend?
Most Tampa SMBs see results starting at $1,000-$2,000/mo in ad spend. We'll recommend a budget based on your goals and market.
Do you create the ad creative?
Yes. Copy, images, and video hooks are all included. We test multiple angles every month and kill what doesn't work.
How do I know the ads are working?
Weekly Slack or email updates with spend, leads, and cost-per-lead. Monthly deep-dive report with creative performance and next steps.
Is there a long-term contract for ads?
No. Month to month. If the ads aren't working after 90 days of honest testing, you can pause or cancel. We keep you because of results, not fine print.
Can I run ads without a website?
You can, but conversion rates suffer. A landing page built for your offer converts 2-3x better than sending traffic to a generic site. We can build one as part of your plan.
About Skylift.
Who actually builds my site?
Nic Velasco runs every account directly. A small, vetted team of contractors handles design and development. You won't talk to a project manager you've never met.
Where is Skylift based?
Tampa, FL. Florida-focused.
Do you only work with Tampa businesses?
Tampa is the focus, but Skylift works with small businesses across Florida: St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Sarasota, Orlando.
What kinds of businesses fit best?
Local service businesses doing $200K to $1.5M a year: dentists, lawyers, contractors, gyms, restaurants, salons, real estate agents. If you have real customers and a real offer, Skylift can probably help.
Do you do anything besides websites?
Google review automation is bundled. Paid ads on Meta and Google are available add-ons. Skylift does not do social media management.
Are you affiliated with a national agency or franchise?
No. Skylift is independent, Tampa-based, and Florida-focused. Not a satellite office of anyone.
Still have questions?
The fastest answer is a free preview of your own site. See a real draft first, then decide. No card, no pressure.
